About the project
Shinfield Studios is a brand new TV and film production hub based in Reading, looking to produce some of the biggest films and shows upon completion. The build consists of 4 film studios and 4 workshops plus additional areas for filming.
Klasse C-board has been utilised due to its acoustic qualities in such a project.

Practical Considerations
Contractors Curo Construction & SEE Facades needed sheathing boards to provide a roof deck that provided excellent acoustic performance and strong durability.
Klasse offered a solution, with our cement C-board being the preferred choice due to our extensive testing to ISO 10140-3, and its impact strength, weather resistant qualities too.
Why Klasse?
The materials used in this project needed to be durable and robust which is why C-board was a great fit. With A1 fire-rated, fully non-combustible certification as well as being high enough density to mitigate wind and installation damage, C-board also hit the acoustic benchmarks needed by the client.
Klasse were able to deliver on time and without fuss to mitigate any construction delays and allow the project to continue smoothly.
