Klasse recently hosted its own 2024 Sports Day at our Hereford site, raising funds for Laureus. The Klasse team took part in four fun events: a three-legged race, bean bag shot put, wicket cricket, and mini golf.
Teams were split into four colours—Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow—with points awarded based on event results: 5 points for first place, 3 for second, 1 for third, and none for fourth. With the teams sorted, we jumped right in to the events!
The day kicked off with the three-legged race, where Orange clinched victory with a time of 17.82 seconds, narrowly beating Yellow. After the first event, Orange led with 5 points, followed by Yellow with 3.
Next up was the bean bag shot put, where Orange once again triumphed, securing another 5 points. Yellow, Green, and Red followed. By this point, Orange was in the lead with 10 points, while Yellow had 6, Green 1, and Red 0.
In the third event, wicket cricket, Red finally made their mark, winning with two hits on the wicket. The final event was mini golf, where Yellow grabbed the victory, sealing the points for that round.
The final scores were:
ORANGE: 16 Points
YELLOW: 14 Points
GREEN: 6 Points
RED: 5 Points
Orange emerged as the overall champion. Most importantly, we raised £280 for Laureus, supporting their Sport for Good campaign, which promotes positivity and fights inequality worldwide. Click here to read more about their work.
